• The angle between magnetic and geographic north is called magnetic declination and varies depending on the time and location on the globe. For users like me, who don’t usually do routes that require guidance, the TruArc™ 20 compass is very big and, honestly, we don’t need it. But there is a group of people who, on a daily basis, for professional reasons (cartography, army, rescue, etc…) or for an extra-work activity (geology, adventure in snow, forests or desert, etc…), need a precise instrument of orientation and measurement to perform well.

For them, the TruArc™ 20 compass is an ideal instrument, due to its low weight, small size and very high performance. In addition to its quick-access lid and rubber base that, in addition to housing reference cards , protects the compass from shocks and premature wear of the ruler paint.

In short, this is a professional instrument, manufactured by the leading company in the sector (in the jargon they say: a Brunton-type compass!) and with very high precision. You know, so as not to lose the North!
