It was manufactured by the <strong>Eberhard Faber Pencil Company<\/strong> from <strong>1934<\/strong> to <strong>1988<\/strong>, then by the <a title=\"Faber-Castell\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Faber-Castell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Faber-Castell<\/a> pencil company from <strong>1988<\/strong> to <strong>1994<\/strong> and by <strong>Sanford<\/strong> from <strong>1994<\/strong> to <strong>1998<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eberhard Faber Pencil Company<\/strong> began production in <strong>1934<\/strong>. Its motto emblazoned on the body <em>, &#8220;Half the pressure, twice the speed,&#8221; <\/em>was intended to appeal to the <strong>stenographers of the time<\/strong>. The <strong>Blackwing 602 <\/strong>had the unique <strong>softness and smoothness <\/strong>of a<strong> 3B\/4B <\/strong>mine with the <strong>wear<\/strong> of an <strong>HB<\/strong> mine.
