<\/span><\/h2>\nBorn in Barcelona<\/strong> in 1943<\/strong>, Jaime Tresserra Clap\u00e9s<\/strong>, exclusive designer of the Tresserra Collection<\/strong>, grew up in a family of actors and couturiers from which he inherited the sensibility exhibited in his works. A law student, he left the first year to take an interest in various artistic specialties<\/strong> taught at the Massana School<\/strong> in Barcelona<\/strong>.<\/p>\nA small previous step in the world of advertising<\/strong> led him to finally start in interior architecture,<\/strong> creating the first exclusive furniture for his clients.<\/p>\nIn 1987<\/strong> he created J.Tresserra Design <\/strong>as a foretaste of what would later become the Tresserra Collection<\/strong>. He presented his first furniture collection at the “International Furniture Fair”<\/strong> in Valencia<\/strong>, where he won the award for Best Modern Furniture Design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n1989<\/strong> is a very important year in Jaime Tresserra’s<\/strong> career. its furniture appears in Tim Burton’s<\/strong> film “Batman”,<\/strong> which won the Oscar<\/strong> for Best Art Design<\/strong>.<\/p>\nLater he exhibited his creations at the International Furniture Salons<\/strong> of Milan<\/strong> and Cologne<\/strong>, where he received very good acceptance and criticism. During that time, he developed several interior architecture projects, such as the 28 luxury apartments of the Hotel Arts<\/strong> in Barcelona (1992) <\/strong>that brought him great international recognition.<\/strong><\/p>\nOnce again, cinema would give Jaime Tresserra<\/strong> more joy, James Dearden’s<\/strong> “Kiss Me Before I Die” (1992) <\/strong>and Louis Malle’s <\/strong>“Herida” (1993) <\/strong>presented outstanding pieces from the Tresserra Collection<\/strong> in their set designs, confirming Jaime’s<\/strong> lasting union with cinema. Later, artists such as Tina Turner<\/strong> and Brad Pitt<\/strong> relied on Jaime Tresserrra’s<\/strong> design in their own homes.<\/p>\n1994 <\/strong>is the year that he dedicates to expansion, opening his new showroom in Barcelona<\/strong> (Josep Bertrand, 17), as well as spaces in major world capitals (Madrid, Moscow, Berlin, Boston, Chicago, London, St. Petersburg<\/strong>).
