Spain<\/strong>.<\/p>\nIn 1970<\/strong>, emblematic models were launched at 1:32<\/strong> scale<\/strong>: Mercedes 250 SL<\/strong>, Ford GT, Jaguar E-Type<\/strong>, Chaparral GT, BRM<\/strong> – F1<\/strong> and the Seat 850 TC Abarth<\/strong>.<\/strong> In 1979<\/strong> the GP-66<\/strong> box was marketed which included the iconic Tyrrell P34<\/strong> 6-wheeler, a star of the brand. In 1985<\/strong> the first model with lights<\/strong>, the Lancia 037<\/strong>, and with 4-wheel drive, the Audi Quattro<\/strong>, appeared. The Super Traction System<\/strong> range, 1:43 scale<\/strong> with 4-wheel drive for off-roading, was also launched.<\/p>\nAfter the disappearance of Exin, the<\/strong> manufacturing rights (in Spain) passed in 1993 to Tyco<\/strong> Toys, in 1998<\/strong> to TecniToys<\/strong> and from 2012<\/strong> to F\u00e1brica de juguetes<\/strong>, a manufacturer only for Spain<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\nToy Factory<\/strong>, at present, has developed races with up to 6 cars on track<\/strong> , with wireless controllers, adding more realism to the game. Internationally, the cars distributed in Spain as Scalextric<\/strong> ceased production in 2001<\/strong>, since then the official import of Superslot<\/strong> has been in charge of Electrotren<\/strong>.<\/p>\nIn 2004, Michael Schumacher’s<\/strong> Ferrari F2004<\/strong> was launched, the best-selling model.<\/strong> A few years later, Scalextric Compact 1:43<\/strong> was launched, for the little ones. At the end of 2010<\/strong>, the bikes were incorporated with Valentino Rossi’s<\/strong> Yamaha<\/strong> and Dani Pedrosa’s<\/strong> Honda<\/strong>.<\/p>\nIn 2018<\/strong> the new company SCX S.L. (Scale Competition Xtreme S.L.)<\/strong> modernized the image of this toy and promoted the brand. Scalextric Advance is launched, the series that definitively brings Scalextric<\/strong> closer to a real Formula 1 Grand Prix<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\nToday, two companies share the Scalextric<\/strong> brand in different territories:<\/p>\n– Hornby<\/strong> (Great Britain, Scalextric-Superslot<\/strong>) owns the Scalextric<\/strong> brand worldwide, except Spain, Mexico and Russia, <\/strong>which markets its products under the Superslot brand.<\/strong><\/p>\n– Scale Competition Xtreme, SL<\/strong> (Spain, Scalextric-SCX<\/strong>) sells its products worldwide under the SCX <\/strong>brand, except in Spain, Mexico and Russia <\/strong>which sells its products under the Scalextric<\/strong> brand.
