DESCRIPTION:24 Hours of Le Mans\nThe 24 Hours of Le Mans is the endurance race par excellence. It is held annually in June at the Circuit de la Sarthe\, near Le Mans\, France. It is organized by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO). He has scored points in the World Endurance Championship between the 1950s and 1990s and again since 2010. It is one of the most important sporting events in the world of motorsport. \nIt is the most prestigious endurance motorsport race in the world\, bringing together drivers and teams from different national and international championships. However\, some get their invitation based on results in other ACO competitions\, such as the American Le Mans Series\, the European Le Mans Series\, the Asian Le Mans Series and Petit Le Mans. \nIn the last edition in 2024\, the Ferrari team\, formed by Miguel Molina\, Antonio Fuoco and Niklas Nielsen \, won the second consecutive victory for the Ferrari team. Miguel Molina has become the third Spaniard to win this precious award\, after Marc Gené and Fernando Alonso. \nIntroduction\nThe 24 Hours of Le Mans\, since 1923\, the year in which it was held on2\, 6 and 27 May\, has been held annually in the month of June\, except for 1956 (July)\, 1968 (French May strikes) and 2020 (covid-19). In 1936 it was not held for economic reasons and from 1940 to 1948 it was not run because of World War II. \nThe competition takes place on a semi-permanent circuit that\, in its current configuration\, measures 13\,626 meters. They are mostly sections of road that remain open to the public the rest of the year. Over the years\, several sections have been built that have replaced sections of normal road\, most notably the Porsche curves\, which replace the dangerous Maison Blanche section. The permanent Bugatti circuit provides the facilities for the start and end of the race. \nAround 50 vehicles compete simultaneously in different classes of sports prototypes and grand tourers. The winner is the vehicle that covers the longest distance in 24 hours of continuous racing. In 1966\, all three Ford GT40 Mark IIs crossed the finish line at the same time\, but the car that had set the worst time during practice was the winner\, as it had started further back on the grid\, having covered more metres. \nYou have to cross the finish line after the 24 hours of racing to qualify. Occasionally\, damaged vehicles leave the pits for a final lap of the circuit and qualifying. \nEach car\, in recent years\, has carried a team of three drivers. Prior to 1970 only two drivers were allowed per vehicle and even at the beginning only one driver was allowed. Until the early 1980s\, most teams competed with two drivers. \nIn the 1990s\, due to the speed of the cars and the strain on the drivers\, rules were added to improve safety: Drivers may not drive more than four consecutive hours and no driver may drive more than fourteen hours in total. \nThe Race\nThe 24 Hours of Le Mans starts at 16:00 on a Saturday\, and used to start with what’s known as the “Le Mans start”: the cars are lined up on one side of the circuit and the drivers on the other. When the French flag comes down at the appointed time\, the drivers race across the track to their cars\, mount and take off. \nHarnesses and seat belts were introduced in 1967 . In those years\, drivers took the first corners with their belts unsecured\, they did it on a later straight. \nIn 1969\, in his first 24 Hours of Le Mans\, the young Belgian Jacky Ickx\, at the start\, instead of racing across the track\, went slowly\, got into the car and calmly secured the seat belts. Driver John Woolfe died after an accident during the first lap of the competition. Ickx\, despite starting last in an outdated Ford GT40 \, managed to win the race in a tight finish by just 120 metres. ​ \nFrom 1970 onwards\, the “Le Mans start” was suspended. The cars were still on the side of the track with their engines off\, but the drivers were already well secured inside before the start. From 1971 onwards the start of the race was launched. \nThe Circuit\nThe Circuit de la Sarthe is a non-permanent track that uses local roads that remain open to traffic the rest of the year. From 1965\, the permanent Bugatti circuit was added\, adding pit facilities and the first corner\, with the famous Dunlop bridge. \nIt has undergone many modifications over the years. Famous for its long straight\, part of the RN138\, known locally as the 5 km long Ligne Droite des Hunaudières. In 1990 two chicanes were introduced on the Mulsanne Straight to reduce the high speeds. A new chicane was added in 2002\, past the Dunlop Bridge. 1 \nIt is perhaps the second longest racing circuit today\, behind the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Considering that the “Green Hell” is no longer used in competition\, La Sarthe is the place with the longest lap times\, even being a high-speed track. \nThe Bugatti circuit\, inaugurated in 1965\, built on the Sarthe\, is an important stage for car races\, motorcycles and even skating\, it is an FIM track (Moto 2\, Moto 3\, Moto GP)\, DTM and GP2. Its almost 400 booths will show the main editorial novelties and will provide a place for signatures for prestigious writers. \nThe motto of this edition is “New York lights up the fair” and\, in collaboration with the New York International Book Fair and Ibero-American departments of several universities\, it tries to highlight the value of the New York that speaks and writes in Spanish. \nHistory\nThe 1st Edition of the Book Fair was held in 1933\, as part of the events of the Cervantes Week\, from April 23 to 29. This first appointment was held on the Paseo de Recoletos in front of the Church of San Pascual. \nThe 1934 Fair\, called “national and Hispano-American”\, was held on the same stage from May 6 to 16 from “ten in the morning to twelve at night”. Before our Civil War\, the editions of 1935 and 1936 were held\, and later\, they had a parenthesis until 1944. That year\, under the name of National Book Fair\, it was organized by the National Institute of the Book (INLE). \nIn 1967 the Fair was relocated to El Retiro Park as a result of the increase in requests for participation from booksellers\, publishers and distributors. \nIt would be in 1982 when the Fair was renamed the Madrid Book Fair\, and its organization was assumed by the Association of Bookstores of Madrid\, together with the collaboration of the Association of Publishers of Madrid and the Association of Distributors (FANDE). DESCRIPTION:Masters of Augusta\nThe The Augusta Masters is one of the four major tournaments on the men’s golf calendar and the first to be held every year since 1934. The final round of the tournament is usually held on the second Sunday in April. \nUnlike the rest of the majors\, the Augusta Masters has a fixed venue\, the Augusta National Golf Club\, a private golf club located in Augusta\, Georgia\, United States. \nIt is part of the PGA Tour and\, among its advantages\, the winner of this prestigious tournament is invited for life to celebrate it and also the other 3 major tournaments for the next 5 years. He also receives an invitation to play in The Players tournament for the next five years. \nThe most significant prize of the Masters at Augusta is not the economic one\, but the coveted green jacket that identifies him as a member of the club. In addition\, he receives a Gold Medal and his name engraved on the Masters Trophy. This trophy represents the club’s home house\, was first awarded in 1963 and remains in the clubhouse. Since 1993 \, a replica has been given to the winner. The finalist (2nd) receives a silver medal and\, since 1978\, a silver tray. \nHistory\nThe origin of Augusta National Golf Club is due to the renowned golfer Bobby Jones\, who wanted to build a golf course after his retirement. On the advice of Clifford Roberts (later president of the club)\, they found a plot of land in Augusta\, Georgia. It was inaugurated and opened to the public in January 1933. \nThroughout its history\, 56 players have won the coveted green jacket. The winner of the Augusta Masters keeps it for a full year and returns it in the next edition of the tournament. DESCRIPTION:David Gilmour\, Royal Albert Hall 2024\nDavid Gilmour\, former guitarist of the British group Pink Floyd\, offers a series of 6 concerts in London\, at the mythical Royal Albert Hall (October 9/15)\, for the presentation of his new album “Luck and Strange” as part of his 2024 tour. \n“Luck and Strange” was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is David Gilmour’s first album of new material in nine years. The album includes eight new tracks along with a beautiful reinterpretation of ‘Between Two Points’ by The Montgolfier Brothers. \nIt is a unique opportunity to see live one of the idols of the guitar\, author of such memorable solos as “Comfortably Numb” and co-author\, together with Roger Waters\, of such emblematic songs as “Wish you were here”. Without a doubt\, one of the best concerts to be held in Europe in 2024. \nBiography\nDavid Jon Gilmour (born 6 March 1946 in Cambridge\, England) is an English musician\, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist\, best known for having been the songwriter\, vocalist and guitarist of the progressive rock band Pink Floyd\, which he joined shortly before Syd Barrett’s departure in 1968. \nHis father\, Douglas Gilmour\, a professor at Cambirdge University\, was an expert in zoology\, and his mother\, Sylvia\, was an editor at the BBC. They encouraged him to become interested in music. \nIn 1957 he attended the Perse School in Cambridge\, where he met his future companions: guitarist Syd Barrett and bassist Roger Waters. In late 1962 he joined the blues rock band “Jokers Wild”\, recording an album and a single (15 copies). In August 1965 he traveled to Spain and France with Barret and other friends to raise some money by performing Beatles songs in streets and bars. \nIn 1967\, Gilmour toured France with Rick Wills and Willie Wilson (members of Jokers Wild) and performed under the name Flowers. \nIt was in 1967 when Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason offered him to join the band to replace the erratic Syd Barret. The band intended to continue with Barrett as composer. In March 1968\, Syd agreed to leave the band as his behavior was totally inappropriate. \nUpon his departure\, Gilmour became the lead singer\, sharing the duties with Roger Waters and Richard Wright\, beginning the era of progressive rock. \nThe success of the albums The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here led Waters to take control of the band\, composing and singing most of the content on the following albums: Animals and The Wall. Wright was fired at the The Wall and the relationship between David and Roger deteriorated during the recording of the film The Wall and the recording of the album The Final Cut. \nThe Wall’s last live performance was on June 17\, 1981 in London\, being Pink Floyd’s last appearance with Roger Waters in nearly 25 years. On July 2\, 2005\, Pink Floyd participated in its entirety on Live 8. \nPink Floyd\, already under the control of the band by David Gilmour\, released A Momentary Lapse of Reason in 1987 and in 1994\, The Division Bell. \nDavid Gilmour released his first solo album\, “David Gilmour” in 1978. In 1905 1984 published “About Face”. Until 2006 he would not lock himself in the studio again and record\n“On an Island”. Nine years later (2015)\, would publish “Rattle That Lock” and\, another nine years later\,(2024)\, “Luck and Strange”. \nIn 1996 was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Named Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2003\, he is number 14 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 100 best guitarists. The French capital officially presented its candidacy on June 23\, 2015. It will be\, along with London\, the only city to host the Olympic Games three times\, after 1900 and 1924\, and these Olympic Games will mark the centenary of the last ones held on Parisian soil. \nIntroduction to the Olympic Games\nThe Olympic Games\, Olympics or Olympics\, are the largest multidisciplinary international sporting event in which athletes from various parts of the world participate. They are considered the main competition in the sports world\, with more than two hundred participating nations. There are two types: the Summer Olympics and the Winter Olympics\, which are held with an interval of two years\, according to the Olympic Charter: “The Games of the Olympiad are held during the first year of an Olympiad and the Winter Olympics during their third year.” \nThe modern Olympic Games were inspired by the Olympic Games of antiquity (eighth century BC)\, organized in ancient Greece with headquarters in the city of Olympia\, held between 776 BC and 776 BC. and 393 A.D. In the nineteenth century\, the idea arose to hold events similar to those organized in ancient times\, mainly thanks to the efforts of Pierre Frèdy\, Baron de Coubertin. Paris 2024 will also be the first Olympic and Paralympic Games in history with full gender parity. \nNew Sports\nIn these Olympic Games \, new sports and categories are incorporated: \n\nAthletics: The long race walk is changed\, going from 50 to 35 km.\nBoxing: Women’s boxing gains a new category and men’s boxing loses a category.\nBreaking: it is already a new Olympic sport.\nCanoeing: women’s and men’s extreme slalom.\nSailing: kitesurfing\, 470 and ocean regattas.\n\nThe disciplines that were incorporated in Tokyo 2020 are consolidated: Sport climbing\, Skateboarding\, BMX and 3×3 Basketball. \nHeadquarters\nThere will be a total of 35 venues\, spread over 14 locations that will host 24 sports and will be located less than 10 km from the Olympic village. Other regions such as Bordeaux\, Nantes\, Lyon\, Saint-Etienne\, Nice and Marseille will host events related to disciplines such as football.
